Capital Campaign

Capital Campaign Prayer

Almighty God, Master Architect and Builder, we ask you to be with us as we accept the challenge to build your kingdom here and now in our parish community - through structures and facilities that will enable us to implement effectively our pastoral goals and programs.

Bless our people, our capital campaign and our builders that we may all be committed, wholeheartedly and generously, to the same vision and remain firmly united in the difficult task of achieving that vision.

Through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of your Son, patroness of our parish, may our efforts bring to completion a church befitting your grandeur and majesty and facilities conducive to the growth of our faith and fellowship.

With your guidance and blessing, may we indeed build the future together for your glory and our sanctification.

This we ask through Christ our Lord.    Amen.

Capital Campaign News

Please join us and Cardinal Daniel DiNardo as Notre Dame presents an “Evening with the Cardinal” on Friday, July 18th. This fund-raising event is being held at the Westchase Hilton. Come and enjoy a memorable evening of dining and entertainment. Tickets to this event are limited and will be sold at each of the masses the weekend of May 11. They will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost of the entire evening is $250/person.  All proceeds from this event will go towards the construction of our new church facility scheduled to begin constuction early summer 2008.

Your response to the Capital Campaign has been truly gratifying. In the following column, we will post answers to the questions and concerns that we have received in the parish office.  As we move forward with the implementation of the master plan for Notre Dame, we invite your continued input (comments, concerns, suggestions) in order to build the future together.

In response to the number of parishioners who have requested that they be able to make their pledge payments to the Capital Campaign on a weekly basis, we will be making some minor modifications to our method of collecting the Sunday offerings from Notre Dame Community.

Beginning October 6 – 7, the following will be the new procedure for Offertory collections:

Weekly Needs Collection: At the Offertory, the ushers will pass the baskets for the normal Sunday collection as has been done in the past. The monies collected at this time will go to fund the weekly needs of the parish.

            N. D. Capital Campaign: Following the weekly needs collection, the ushers will pass (grey) baskets designated for the Notre Dame Capital Campaign. Anyone wishing to make their contribution to the Capital Campaign may do so at this time.

Special Needs Collection: On those occasions when there is to be a special collection for the needs of the universal Church (missions, aid to poor churches, infirm priests, etc.), this collection will be taken up immediately following Holy Communion.

By adapting this new method of collecting your contributions to Notre Dame, it is hoped that we will serve you better. It is our goal to properly process the monies received so that we can provide for the immediate needs of Notre Dame as well as our future needs as we continue to make our master plan a reality. Thank you for your continued generosity. May God bless our efforts to build His Church in our midst.

InquiryWhat is the “ID” number that is requested on the capital campaign envelopes that are found in the holders near the Mary window in Church?
When a family first registers with Notre Dame as a parishioner, they receive a “family ID” number which is then printed on the envelopes that they receive in the mail each month. When filling out your contribution to the capital campaign using the envelopes provided near the Mary window in Church, we ask that you write in your “family ID” number to ensure that that each household receives proper credit for pledge payments made to the Capital Campaign.
